Last Friday, 7 December 2018, SAFE STRIP held its second Scientific Advisory Board (SAB) meeting in Brussels, Belgium. During the meeting, the Scientific Advisory Board, lead by Prof. George A. Giannopoulos, provided the SAFE STRIP project coordinators and work package leaders with valuable feedback on the project process and how to continue the future work.

The rest of the members of the SAB include: Massimiliano Granieri, Associate Professor at University of Brescia in Italy, who gave insight on Intellectual Property and Technology Transfer in SAFE STRIP. Thierry Ernst is the CEO of YoGoKo – a company created in 2014, developing communication solutions for the connected & cooperative vehicle. He represents the needs and wants of OEMs and will act as expert on cooperative ITS standards. Johanna Zmud is a senior researcher at the Texas A&M Transportation Institute (TTI). Her long experience in transportation research sector on the other side of the world is highly appreciated by the SAFE STRIP consortium. Marios Domoxoudis is an ITS Expert at the Aegean Motorway and represents the views of the infrastructure.
